Downhill Skiing

There are 4 ski resorts within 100 miles of Donnelly.  Tamarack, Donnelly's newest and closest resort opened winter 2004 and offers excellent cat and downhill skiing.

Cross-Country Skiing

When frozen over, Cascade Lake offers miles and miles of beautiful terrain for cross-country and backcountry skiing.  Nearby Tamarack Resort has a 20-kilometer network of cross-country ski trails, complete with nordic ski rentals, a deluxe heated yurt and freshly groomed trails.  The towns of McCall and Cascade are also havens for these same activities.

Idaho's Heartland contains thousands of square miles of snowmobiling terrain and is one of the Northwest's top 10 places for snowmobiling.  Whether you're interested in scenic tours or competitive events, you'll find it here.

Ice Fishing

When frozen over, Lake Cascade is one of the most popular locations in the state for ice fishing.  

Hot Springs

There are both natural and developed hot springs in the area.  In the winter when the road is inaccessible to cars, rent a snowmobile and ride to Bergdorf Hot Springs!

Snow Cat Tours

Preview the new Wildwood area at Tamarack Resort on a half-day guided trip aboard their luxurious fully enclosed snow cat (weather and space permitting).  Snow cat tours will begin in late January 2005.
